Salt free spice seasoning mix recipes from Chupa Babi.

BusyCooks No Salt Seasoning Mix

1 Tbsp. garlic powder

2 tsp. dried thyme leaves

2 tsp. onion powder

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

2 tsp. paprika

2 tsp. celery seed

1-1/2 tsp. ground white pepper

1 Tbsp. dry mustard powder

2 tsp. dried finely chopped lemon peel

1 tsp. pepper

 

 

 

Mix all the ingredients together in a small mixing

bowl, stirring until

thoroughly combined. Store in a dark, cool place in a

tightly sealed container.

Use on meats, poultry and fish, or at the table for a

salt-free seasoning.

CooksDotCom 10 SPICE SALT-FREE SEASONING MIX

2 tbsp. leaf oregano

2 tbsp. parsley flakes

4 tsp. sweet basil

4 tsp. leaf tarragon

1 tsp. leaf sage

4 tbsp. onion powder

4 tsp. garlic powder

2 tsp. ground marjoram

1 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

1/2 tsp. ground thyme

 

 

 

 

In bowl combine oregano, parsley, basil, tarragon and

sage. Crush until fine.

Stir in remaining spices. Mix and spoon into a shaker.

Pillsbury Homemade Salt-Free Herb Mix

3 ts Onion powder

1 ts Dried thyme leaves

3 ts Garlic powder

1 ts Dried marjaram leaves

3 ts Dried parsley flakes

1 ts Pepper

1 ts Dried basil leaves

 

 

 

In storage container with tight-fitting lid,combine

all ingredients;

mix well. Seal tightly. Store in cool, dry place for

up to 6

months. Stir or shake well before each use. Makes 13

teaspoons

(about 14 cup)

 

Nutrition information: One teaspoon mix contains 1 mg.

sodium.

Shrimp or Crab Boil Spice Mix

1/4 cup pickling spice

3 tablespoons sliced fresh chives

2 tablespoons yellow mustard seeds

2 tablespoons black peppercorns

2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon celery seeds

1 tablespoon sliced fresh ginger

2 teaspoons dried oregano

5 crushed bay leaves

 

 

Tie all the spices in a muslin bag and add to the

boiling liquid with sea salt to taste.

Kimberly's SALT-FREE SEASONING

1/4 cup crushed dried minced onion flakes

4 teaspoons crushed dried vegetable flakes

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon dried orange peel

2 teaspoons coarse ground black pepper

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon dried savory

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon coriander

1/2 teaspoon dried mustard

1/4 teaspoon celery seed

1/4 teaspoon unsweetened lemonade drink mix (such as

Kool-Aid)

 

Great for those on a low-sodium diet!

Faux Lawrys Seasoned Un-salt

1 t Chili Powder

1/4 t Celery Seed

1/2 t Nutmeg

1/2 t Coriander

1 t Onion Powder

1 t Paprika

1/4 t Garlic Powder

1 t Turmeric

 

 

Mix together. Store in an airtight container.

Yield: 24 Servings

This blend comes close to approximating the flavors in

the typical seasoned salt blends like Lawry's, without

the sodium. Use it anywhere seasoned salt is called

for or when you want to give food a little extra

flavor. I like it in soups and egg dishes.

Caribbean Spice Mix 4 tablespoons ground ginger 4

tablespoons finely ground black pepper

3 tablespoons dried orange peel, ground 1/2 teaspoon

ground mace 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 cup packed

brown sugar

 

Mix all the ingredients until well blended.Store in

airtight jars or tins in a cool, dark place for up to

two months.Serving Size = 2 tablespoons

Try these; they're a lot cheaper than the mixes you

buy. Leave out any spices you don't like, and double

those you do. Herb Seasoning Use in casseroles, stews,

or fresh Vegetable dishes.
