Guest guest
Rebecca, When we are down in Mobile, we love to eat at Jerusalem Cafe and Jericho Cafe. They have a very similar menu of wonderful Middle Eastern Foods. We love their falafel sandwiches with hummus, creamy lentil soup, Greek salad(they make their own salad dressing that is outstanding and sell it), Krass Stuffed pastry and lots of other things. Loads of vegetarian items on their menu to choose from. We usually end up at Jerusalem Cafe because we like the ambience better and the staff is great! Their desserts are wonderful too...... Hope you get a chance to try it sometime. Judy , " R.S. Guest guest
I used to dance at the Jerusalem cafe when it first opened and Al owned it. Al then opened the Jericho cafe but sold it when his wife died. The Jericho cafe has since closed. If you are down this way do continue to eat at the Jerusalem cafe or Zorba the Greeks but avoid the Purple Cafe. Rebecca
Guest guest
I've never seen any dancing there before. Was it just for the grand opening? I didn't realize that Jericho cafe had closed. Al was always so friendly when he was over at the Jerusalem Cafe, coming and sitting with the customers and chatting. Where is Zorba's and why avoid the Purple Cafe? I haven't been there before, but someone had told me they had a some vegetarian selections. Is it in the southern part of the shopping center just south of Azealea and Airport Blvd, that has the Hancock Fabric and Goodwill store in it? We are down in Mobile about once a month, so please share where ther Zorba's is? Oh I just looked it up on Yellow Pages and it looks like it is near Grelot and Hillcrest intersection. Is that right?
