Guest guest
Hi Y'All, I've been logging every morsel of food I put in my body over the past two weeks, and only about 18% of my calories are coming from protein. I also have the most soft, brittle fingernails on the planet, and I'm darn sick of it. I know there's lots of nuts that are good sources of protein, but I am trying to keep my overall calories low (below 1500, with at least 30 min of exercise a day). Are there any good low-cal, tried-and-true sources of protein out there? Are supplements like soy protein shakes a viable/sustainable option? Thanks again so much for all of your responses and support to my previous question about my meat eater at home. He's begrudgingly accepted that I'm sticking with this, and he even liked the portobello mushroom fajitas and vegetarian chili I made for dinner. Cheers, Wendy
