living with a meat-eater

Thanks Portia! We were joking about accepting each other's choices this

morning. I told him about my egg topper, that i chose to collect it, he teased

me

about it. I reminded him that its already seen more action with everyone

playing with it and trying to come up with other uses, than some of his

expensive woodworking tools have seen. I cleverly steered the conversation

elsewhere

when he started to head toward my collection of rubber stamps....

So we compromised and made a pan of my aunt's awesome breakfast Streusel.

Your dinner sounds good Amy.

It sure does work living with non-vegetarians. You

each have to respect the others food choices and work

with one another. I've been doing it for years too.

We had a yummy dinner last night, sauteed Swiss Chard,

fruit, sauteed

mushrooms, and yummy German cucumber salad, which I

haven't made in a long time. I

have 2 recipes for it,but I always use the one without

the sour cream.

My husband likes the vegetarian food I make, but I

doubt he'll ever go

completely vegetarian. I do what I can. We went to the

Farm Market yesterday and I

got a bunch of stuff off their clearance bin, 2 big

bags of green beans for

$.75, 8 small zucchini and summer squash for $.75,

bananas for $.19/pound. I

would have cleared them out but I need to get my

freezer cleared out. Amy
