Guest guest Posted May 31, 2007 Report Share Posted May 31, 2007 I got this recipe from my mother in law and tried it out last week for some friends at church and it was a big hit. So I thought I would share with you all. 2c warm water 4Tbs brown sugar 1/4c honey (optional) 2Tbs yeast 1/3c oil 2tsp salt 2c cornmeal 2c unbleached flour Mix all ingredients,dont knead and let raise in bowl for about 30 minutes then pour into sprayed 8 " X 11 " baking dish and let rise again for another 30 minutes or until doubled. Bake at 350* for 25- 30 minutes. We like sweet cornbread so we add the additional honey but it is not necessary. ~Cherie Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
