Guest guest
Hi all, I am looking for some good, inexpensive ice cube trays. The ones I got at the local hardware either don't eject the cubes willingly, or crack/break easily when twisted to release the cubes. I've seen OXO trays with covers, but they are $6/each. We have an ice cube maker on the refrig., but it broke after being nothing but trouble for 4 years and we are too cheap to replace it at $140. Bagged ice will soon become a negative return on investment at the rate of a bag a day. Sooooo, does anyone have a recommendation? I found some more of what I have on Amazon, but there really doesn't seem to be a lot of selection out there. I grew up with the metal ones with the lever release, which I hated at the time but now they look pretty darn good. Thanks! Guest guest
i buy rubbermaid ice cube trays, and they last pretty well. buy a plastic container to put the cubes into and your trays will last longer. -make sure you don't overfill the trays with water, this will make it harder to get the ice cubes out and require more twisting which will wear down the plastic. , akfral wrote: > > Hi all, > I am looking for some good, inexpensive ice cube trays.
