How is the best way to eat the sweet potato that isn't really sweet

compared to the yam that I always thought was a sweet potato?

-Frank,

Sweet potatoes are one of my favortite veggies and I eat them at

least twice a month. I either boil or bake the sweet potato in it's

skin until tender depending on the weather. I don't use my oven in

the summer months. Prick the sweet potato with a sharp knife to tell

when it is done(soft not hard). I mash mine, add butter and organic

cane sugar,/cinnamon or cardamon. My family added marshmallows and

brown sugar to the, boiled, pealed, sliced sweet potatoes and baked

them , calling them " candied yams " .

I suspect we will all continue to call them " potatoes " even though we

are told they are not really a potato but some distant realtive..what

ever that means..LOL
