Guest guest
Maureen, Isn't that Sweet Potato Awareness link a hoot ? I wanted members to read it for themselves and decide. Not wanting to make waves..LOL I have heard that the Yam is a starchy , tasteless tuber. I don't know this for a fact having never tasted a real yam. I do know that sweet potatoes are very wonderful. Actually 'sweet' and have B Vitamins which I need. Mashed sweet potatoes are among the first table food that we feed babies. Besides that a sweet potato vine makes a lovely house plant. Who hasn't grown one in a jar filled with water??- Sweet Potato? Yam? A rose by any other name is still a rose. .LOL..My mother still calls a green pepper a Mango. Sending smiles and hugs your way Deanna in Colorado ===================================================================== -- In , Maureen <ailanthus wrote: > > LOL, did anyone else check out the link to Sweet Potato Awareness Month > in the Wikipedia article Deanna cited?
