Guest guest
Thanks Denise. I will try this. I have a Vita Mix, but have never tried to grind up Garbanzo's in it. Thanks for the info and that recipe. I bet those will be good.... Judy - Denise Friday, May 11, 2007 3:30 PM [sPAM] Re: Maureen--grain mills I grind them in my Vitamix with no problem, and regularly make socca, a form of chickpea pancakes. Here is the link to the recipe: http://whatimcookingnow.blogspot.com/2006/07/curried-vegetables-over-chickpea.ht\ ml Denise - wwjd Friday, May 11, 2007 8:58 AM Re: Maureen--grain mills I wonder why it is so hard to find Chickpea/Garbanzo flour. I was trying to buy some thru my natural food co-op and they didn't even have it. Those are some really hard beans to grind. I wouldn't use a coffee grinder for them. Oh I love hemp seeds on my yogurt too........ Yum. Put them in muffins as well as those salads that you enjoy them on. I'm glad Donna recommended them too. I bought some on amazon.com for a great price. Much cheaper than the health foods carry them. It was in a pack of 3 bags and I just keep them in my freezer. It sure would be nice to try the next time I run across a recipe that calls for something like chickpea flour Peace, Maureen PS I don't think I ever thanked you for your hemp seed nut recommendation. I think my mistake when I first tried them years ago was just eating them plain, but I *love* them on salads now-- Thanks so much!!
