Guest guest Posted May 11, 2007 Report Share Posted May 11, 2007 Hi, my husband and I stopped eating meat and cut back on dairy products about 3 weeks ago. We have always eaten a lot of whole grains (wheat pasta, oatmeal, whole wheat bread, etc). We are eating a lot more fresh fruit & vegetables and have added some tofu and other soy-based meat substitutes. We were already using soy milk and TVP on a regular basis for several years. Around the same time as we stopped eating meat, I started having problems with upset stomach. Its not terrible and I don't feel nauseous, but I don't have much of an appetite (nothing sounds good) and it doesn't improve after eating (or not eating). My husband hasn't had any problem.
