Toasted Seeds

Last year, I missed out on getting pumpkins and making my own toasted pumpkin

seeds due to some family events. I really enjoy these because I can make them

with less salt than the crusty store bought versions and very little grease.

Anyhow, what I really want to know is if anyone has tried toasting the seeds

from other things, like maybe squash or something, and if that is good. Any

thoughts? I'm craving some of these and there has got to be a good substitute

that is available year-round. Also, can stuff like this be successfully frozen

or stored after you make them?
