Guest guest
I have toasted acorn squash seeds and they turn out just like pumpkin ones. I am surprised at how well pumpkins keep though; I still have one last little sugar pumpkin out on my back porch and it's fine. I really enjoy these because I can make them with less salt than the crusty store bought versions and very little grease. Anyhow, what I really want to know is if anyone has tried toasting the seeds from other things, like maybe squash or something, and if that is good. Any thoughts? I'm craving some of these and there has got to be a good substitute that is available year-round. Also, can stuff like this be successfully frozen or stored after you make them? > > Mary in MI >
