Guest guest
I have no problem asking anyone what things are cooked with or what is in a dish. Alot of foods that you wouldn't expect have a chicken or beef base so I always ask. I haven't eaten red meat since 1992. A few months back I was at a christening. I saw some stuffed mushrooms and I ate one without asking. Well, as soon as I put it in my mouth, I knew it had sausage in it. I can't remember the last time I saw mushrooms stuffed with any kind of meat product. It was a pretty formal affair and I was to embarrased to spit it out so I swallowed it. I didn't vomit but I did have the runs for 2 days..LOL... Tracey , " wwjd " <jtwigg wrote: > > I don't eat anything with meat in it. or has been cooked with meat in it...... I would throw up if I tried. Just to repulsive to do that. > Judy > - > Steph > vegetarian group > Tuesday, May 08, 2007 2:48 PM > question > > > Does anyone here when in a social situation eat things with meat in it by simply trying to remove as much as possible (example pepperoni pizza) or for vegans eat a cake that you know is made with milk, eggs and honey? Guest guest
We went camping last week and they were grilling out meat. I had brought a veggie sausage (that was just horrible over the fire). I ate too many roasted marshmallows and could feel my sugar levels were out of wack and I need some protein. When I went to open my bag of nuts the bag split and flew everywhere. So I asked for a bite off my husbands plate. Well, I couldn't swallow it. The texture and taste were just too horrible. So I had to drown that veggie sausage in ketchup and mustard and force the dry thing down. I was not a very happy camper.
Guest guest
That's how I eat my veggie hot dogs. With lots of relish, onions and mustard. You can't really taste the hot dog.
