Guest guest Posted April 28, 2007 Report Share Posted April 28, 2007 Warm Spinach Pesto Garlic Spread 1 10 oz. package frozen chopped spinach 1/4 cup minces sweet basil 1/4 cup milk 1 tbsp. olive oil 1 tbsp. minced roasted garlic 1/2 tsp. salt 3 dashes hot pepper sauce 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, cut up 1 3 oz. package cream cheese, cut up Cook spinach as directed on package. Empty into a colander and press down hard on the spinach to remove excess liquid. Combine milk, oil, roasted garlic, salt and hot pepper sauce in a heavy saucepan and place over moderate heat.. Add all of the cream cheese; cook and stir over low heat until all the cheese is melted. Stir in spinach and basil. Serve chilled or warm with plain crackers, mini toasts or pita chips.
