Guest guest
Hot Chile Vodka Sauce 1 cup serrano peppers, diced or habaneros 1/2 cup vodka Put diced peppers in a jar and add enough vodka to cover peppers. Place a tight-fitting lid on the jar and allow to stand in refrigerator for two weeks. Give the jar a shake every few days. Then place mixture in a blender and puree. Return mixture to the jar, put on lid and refrigerate for another two weeks. Filter through a coffee filter and put into old Tabasco-style sauce bottles. Will keep several years in refrigerator. This sauce has great chile flavor and heat without the sour vinegar taste of Tabasco sauce. It is great for cooking.
