Guest guest
You'll understand why I start this email oddly, eventually. Bear with me. Or bare if it is warm enough. (bad pun, sorry) I have always smiled when I saw Tigger's name on the list; one reason because I love her dearly and the other because in my heart of hearts I have always wanted a pink raincoat. Oh, I've had a blue one (loved it), brown one (hated it), a bright firefighter yellow (LOATHED it but it worked), but never, ever a pink raincoat. I know it sounds silly but my heart has longed for it for a very long time. This morning a box was put on the porch. My mail carrier has finally gotten the clue that since I am in a wheelchair he can't just sit outside in the drive and honk till I come to him. I love boxes, except the ones that contain abandoned animals. I wheeled out to the porch, first checking that no one would accidentally catch sight of me in my huge PINK cat slippers, PINK polka dot jammies and big PINK ribbon pulling my ratty hair back from my face. (Sadly, no pink glasses ... yet) So into the house came The Box and I listened, praying I didn't hear a piteous miaaaaaaaaaow. (Last time that happened we had 5 mamma cats and 18 kits) I opened it and saw the most exquisite dusky rose PINK RAINCOAT that fits perfectly. MY PINK RAINCOAT! Thank you thank you thank you to my wonderful angel who sent this gift!I have a GORGEOUS pink raincoat that is the most wonderful, perfect one I've ever had on!!!!! Now here is the....... wow, coincidence or karma thing. Here's the cold chill down the back time now about my wonderful raincoat. It was a dark and stormy night (I always wanted to use that line), a real south Georgia toad strangling frog soaking rain. I was wearing the slate blue raincoat I loved but it was now twice the size I needed but I LOVED that coat. It was a 5X and I had lost 100 pounds so it was way too big. It was my favorite raincoat though and I just didn't want to give it up. I was waiting for Carl just inside Wal Mart one night when the rain and wind was enough to soak a person to the skin in a second and saw a woman who had to be about 400 pounds who was just wearing a thin t shirt and polyester slacks, obviously also waiting for the person with the car. I took my raincoat off and gave it to her and it fit perfectly. I got soaked and oh it was a cold rain but inside I felt so warm. So this morning what arrives? THE RAINCOAT. THE SAME ONE I had given away but in my favorite pink and fitting me! I am totally blown away. Thank you oh thank you!! Now if I get to go to Washington State to see Dr. Oh and the roses I'll be protected from the rains I see they get a lot of, but mostly I will feel beautiful and so loved! Love, Jeanne in GA with joy in her heart and a bit more hope than I've felt in a long time now. Got the reggae going and doing the happy dance in my chair and terrifying my dog Gunny who is in fear for his tail. Ahhh...imagining that irresistible " new car " smell? Check outnew cars at Autos. Guest guest
That is one of those beautiful pay it forward stories. What a blessing your blue coat was to that lady and what a great gift that pink rain coat was today for you, a pink loving lady. I'm glad someone found something for you that meant a lot.... How fun. BTW I love all the Winnie the Pooh critters too. I hope you make it out to Washington state with your pink raincoat and to the doctor that will help you feel better.
