Guest guest
Well my husband and 10 year old daughter are very strange eaters.. very picky and hardly like any veggies so the green mators would be all mine. Most of the veggies i do fix are all mine, they are meat and potatoe people Becky ---- Penny 4/24/2007 12:54:52 PM RE: Penny I wasn't sure how they'd turn out but my son loved them. The first time he took two slices and left me with several roma tomatoes to eat, then he started taking them off my plate till he got his half! Last time I made them he took the biggest half and left me with the smaller ones. Kids... whatcha gonna do with them? On Behalf Of becky Tuesday, April 24, 2007 11:33 AM Penny Thanks for this Penny since i cant eat fried foods any more but love my fried green mators. Becky ---- Penny 4/24/2007 8:41:46 AM " Fried " Green Tomatoes (I came up with this because we don’t especially like fried foods anymore) 1 tomato per adult – they can be green tomatoes or you can use firm red tomatoes Nonstick cooking spray Lemon pepper seasoning. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Core and slice tomatoes about ¼ to ½ inch thick. Spray a cooking sheet with the cooking spray and layer tomato slices on pan. Sprinkle with Lemon pepper. Bake for about 15 minutes. To achieve a nice brownness on top, turn the broiler on them for just a couple of minutes.
