Guest guest
I have some knock out roses(you don't have to prune those) and 3 things I really love about them, is that they bloom their little hearts out from last frost in spring until first hard frost in winter. Then all winter their foliage turns red. They are very disease and pest resistant with no spray. I've never eaten their petals though. Interesting to know about the dark and light petals. Thanks donna, the flower recipe lady for more of those flower recipes. You're truly are a flower child in more than one sense of the phrase. LOL Can't you just see Donna, sneaking around the nursery with her bag to put petals in, quietly plucking off rose petal, while the nursery folks wonder what kind of critter is defoliating the flowers............ Hee Hee .............. Love ya, just kidding, my friend........ : > ))) You're probably good buddies with that nurseryman.......... Those just taste better, delicate flavor. The darker roses are more of a bitter taste. I have a nursery down the street I've pick them them up from. He doesn't use sprays and I don't either. Haven't had any problems with bugs. I prune them down each winter and they grow right back up. Donna --- Ginger Fitzsimmons <matildalucet wrote: > Where do you get your rose petals?
