I think the brown bag trick hastens ripening and spoiling of any fresh fruit or

veg. I got a

tip from a local apple orchard, to wash and dry the apples thouroghly, pack them

in a

large ziplock bag and keep them refrigerated. It seemed to work, but then again

I didn't

do an experiment on unbagged apples verses bagged apples shelf life! You may

need to

do frozen, either purchase frozen fruits and veggies or freeze them right after

purchase.

Berries, green beans, corn,...all freeze well.

my secret is add a damp paper towel to the bag that has your produce in it and

keep it in the fridge.
