Guest guest
Great Find I love looking at used/thrift store cookbooks. You never know what you will find! A local shop sells all books at $.25 and I recently got: 300 Sensational Salads - Lucinda Hollace Berry (1982) Pecorino Romano Cheese, Best Recipes (1994) Microwave Vegetables - Better Homes & Gardens (1986) Hors d'Oeuvre & Appetizers - James Beard (1972) Making Homemade Cheeses & Butter - Phyllis Hobson (1974) Vegetable Cookery - Irena Chalmers (1975) The Talisman Italian Cook Book - Ada Boni (1950) You Are What You Eat - Victor Lindlahr (1980) If anyone is interested in the nutrient info of fruit and vegetables I would recomend getting " You Are What You Eat " The first 1/3 of the book is the authors opinions but the rest is nutrition facts. There is some cooking info as well. The best part: it is 98-99% fruits and veg, with very few animal products mentioned (mostly under " protein " ) April , " Sue " <kup wrote: At the Humane Society's thrift store...
