Guest guest Posted April 18, 2007 Report Share Posted April 18, 2007 * Exported from MasterCook * Sesame Squash Spread Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 500 grams butternut squash -- peeled, deseeded and cut into 2.5cm pieces 5 tablespoons sesame seeds 1 teaspoon brown miso paste 1 pinch cinnamon Place the squash in a medium sized saucepan and cover with water. Bring to the boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until tender when pierced with a knife. Drain well and blend in a food processor or with a hand-held blender. Heat the sesame seeds in a small pan until lightly toasted and add to the puree with the miso and cinnamon. Blend until smooth, adding a little water if necessary. Transfer to a small bowl and cover. Place in the fridge until required.
