Guest guest
I second that about the Worthington and Loma Linda products. I've eaten them all of my life and love them. Because you can buy them canned or frozen, I often buy up a lot when I am at the Adventist book/nutrition stores and take home the frozen things in an ice chest. They last a long time. I buy those luncheon " meat " logs too and slice them myself and freeze them in groups of 6 slices to take out and use as we need them. We live about 1 1/2 hrs from the closest one. www.adventistbookcenter.com check this to find a location near you. They are worldwide. I also buy the canned products off Amazon. They have free shipping, no tax and great prices. What a great deal. I just got a case of the Vegetarian Burger by Worthington, last week from them. I use that stuff for so many things. I use that and the Fri-Chic for more things than any of the rest of it, but always have at least 8 cases of different of their canned products in my garage at all times. I love the Little Links with grits for breakfast. Yummmmm. They are a bit spendy but most of them taste really good. They carry alot of Worthington & Loma Linda products plus more. They have rolls of fake chicken, turkey, bologna, and beef that you can buy and then slice yourself. It is in the freezer section. If you are interested in just buying canned products like fri chic or vege burger you can order it online. I havent seen anyone suggest this yet so I wanted to make it known. I dont live near one anymore and we dont have any other good stores like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's around here either. I live near Fargo, ND. So I just have to make the best of what we do have. Our grocery stores have a small section for natural foods and Wal Mart has a few things, we also have a small health food store that I frequent. Anyway have a great day all. ~Cherie
Guest guest
We live over 4 hours away from the nearest ABC so dont get there usually. I grew up on these foods too. As a member of the Adventist church they send a book mobile up to our church at least once a year so we can order and they will drop off at that time. I also like the G. Washington broths they are inexpensive and have a good flavor. They run around $1.19 a box and contain 8 packets of powdered broth/ seasoning. Also they have TVP that is flavored and sell it in bulk. They also carry a good variety of cookbooks both vegetarian and vegan. I have several cookbooks from the ABC and the recipes are all pretty good. ~Cherie
