Guest guest
Thanks Penny. I didn't see this message until I got home, but it just so happens that we went to Wal-Mart today! I saw it and the turkey, though it was not referred to as tofurkey. They also had something else vegetarian called Cajun chicken. That, I will definitely have to try. On another note, I picked up a food processor today, so I'm going to attempt to try making the carrot salad with it. Anyone think I'm addicted? LOL. I found a recipe that claims to be Chick-Fil-A's. If it turns out alright, I'll post it to the list. First of all though, I need to figure out how to work the processor! It can do so many different things. -Alyssa On Behalf Of Penny Sunday, April 15, 2007 7:46 PM RE: Veggie baloney: Veronica Also not Veronica, but at Walmart Supercenters you can find it in the produce section where the tofu is. I've tried the peppered turkey Tofurkey and was surprised that it was pretty good. They've got bologna and I think plain turkey flavored at our store. I haven't tried any of them yet, but I've always preferred veggie sandwiches. -- Version: 7.5.446 / Virus Database: 269.3.0/758 - Release 4/12/2007 11:52 AM
Guest guest
If anyone lives near an Adventist Book Center they sell all kinds of analogs. They are a bit spendy but most of them taste really good. They carry alot of Worthington & Loma Linda products plus more. They have rolls of fake chicken, turkey, bologna, and beef that you can buy and then slice yourself. It is in the freezer section. If you are interested in just buying canned products like fri chic or vege burger you can order it online. I havent seen anyone suggest this yet so I wanted to make it known. I dont live near one anymore and we dont have any other good stores like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's around here either. I live near Fargo, ND. So I just have to make the best of what we do have. Our grocery stores have a small section for natural foods and Wal Mart has a few things, we also have a small health food store that I frequent. Anyway have a great day all. ~Cherie
