Guest guest
Penny, Yes, she does lick herself a lot. For a while, the insides of her hind legs were completely bald and raw. Now, the raw, red spots have gone away, but she's still not completely well. Thanks for the tip! I may try it sometime... Though knowing my little piglet, she'll lick the cinnamon off anyway. LOL! That dog eats anything! I have tried putting the cone-thing on her head, but she was so pitiful when it was on that I couldn't stand it. So now, I have resorted giving her 1-2 teaspoons of yogurt a day. It actually seems to help! -Alyssa On Behalf Of Penny Monday, April 09, 2007 10:45 PM RE: Feeding dogs and what they will/should eat... Alyssa, is your dog licking the fur off? I used to have a cat that was naked most of the time. She developed some nervous condition for some strange reason and would literally lick all of her hair off. Well, what she could reach anyway. I finally found a tip to stop her at least for awhile - I put cinnamon on her. She looked funny, especially since she'd sit there with her tongue hanging out like a dog, but the hair did grow back until she'd have another nervous spell and lick it off again. You have to be sure it's plain cinnamon powder though - otherwise they like the taste of the sugar in it and that doesn't stop the problem. -- Version: 7.5.446 / Virus Database: 268.18.26/748 - Release 4/5/2007 3:33 PM
