extreme and emotions

I was recently invitet to a friends house for lunch. Although not

begetarian, she knows I am, so served something I would eat. While

we were eating her 17 year old came home and gravitated to the kitchen

as kids will do. She proceeded to scarf down the left overs and told

her mother, being a tad sarcastic, how nice it was that there was

something she would eat. Her mother told her I was vegetarian. That

little snip put her nose in the air and proudly announced that she is

vegan.

I really got the feeling that her eating habits were to impress

someone and had no connection with conviction or conciounce.
