Guest guest
It's VERY tough. I lost weight on South Beach and was trying to follow it as a veg now. You can do small servings of cottage cheese (even though it says not to in phase 1), small servings of nuts, string cheese. green veggies, hard boiled eggs, small amounts of soy hot dogs, veggies burgers that do not have grains in them...portabello mushrooms. I would eat soy meatballs with tomato sauce, (but no spaghetti) for dinner sometimes. it's pretty hard for lunches, unless you eat out and can get a big salad. Sugar free yogurt may fit the criteria? I do not think it's possible to be a low carb vegan-you'd starve : ) good luck. mell , " sammythingy " <sammything wrote: > > Anyone here a low carb vegetarian? Guest guest
Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to need to keep in one serving (possibly per meal) of a whole grain carb. Still giving up the bad for you stuff, and (gasp) will see how many days in a row I can skip my dinner-time glass of wine. I'm kind of " creating " my own diet, a spin off of the original plan. I'll still consider the first tow weeks a kind of 'detox' phase, but again, a girl has got to eat! Thanks for your help! Lori
