Guest guest
Emes Gelatin is a vegetable gelatin powder with no animal products. It is available at most health food storesor from Weimar Institute (1-800- 525-9192) I hope that this is helpful. ~ Cherie
Guest guest
I did a Google search for Emes Gelatin, and found several sites that claim that Emes Gelatin uses gelatin derived from animal sources. You can do a similar search. I don't know how reliable the sites are, but you can judge for yourselves. If this is true, it is shocking news for vegetarians. Does anyone have any further information. Guest guest
Emes Gelatin is a so called Kosher gelatin, not a vegan or vegetable gelatin. It has never been a vegetable gelatin. The company has now gone bankrupt and you will only find Emes at places that have them left over. If you want a real vegan gelatin you may be able to find it at a Middle Eastern or Indian grocery store. Be sure to read the labels very carefully, because they will also carry " jello " that also has regular gelatin in them. Carol; from what I read in several articles it is no longer considered even kosher, much less acceptable for vegetarians. mar
