(10 oz.) frozen sliced strawberries , Thawed Or 1 basket of fresh berries, washed and sliced 1 can, (8 or 9 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 pkg.(3 1/4 oz.) vanilla or coconut cream pudding and pie filling mix 1 tablespoon butter 1 baked 8 inch pie shell, cooled 1/2 cup heavy cream In saucepan combine berries, pineapple, salt, lemon juice and pudding mix. Cook, stirring, till thickened. Add butter. Cool 5 minutes, stirring once or twice. Pour into shell and chill for several hours, or until firm.
