Question of the Week - How long have you been vegetarian

Has to be 26 or 27 years now.

The interest came after spending the day eating

vegetarian food with the Hare Krishna's in Venice

Beach at their Festival of the Chariots, they

presented me with a cookbook. Also had butchers in

the family that ended up with colon cancer.

For me its been 19 years. My mother was when we were born and we were raised

mostly vegetarian until her doctor (in the '70's told her it wasnt healthy for

kids- IMAGINE!) but, when i was 15 in Home Ec class and reading recipes...that

was it for me for good! Been vegetarian ever since and vegan for the past 9-10

years.
