Guest guest
Hi Deanna, I am not familair with this type of pepper, but I found this website: http://www.padronpeppers.com/index.html http://www.thechileman.org/index.php " They are usually fried in salt and served as a tapa. At their best, eating them is rather like playing Russian Roulette; although they are all delicious, about one in five will blow a hole in the top of your skull! Sometimes almost all of them are highly explosive; occasionally, an entire batch is sweet " I love peppers. I want to grow some this year but I have to decide what types, there are so many! Hope this helps April , " genny_y2k " <genny_y2k wrote: We have had some interesting chat in my organic garden group about Pimentos de Padron-Peppers from Padron (a town in Spain).. I thought it was a recipe for a side dish of roasted young peppers like my roasted Jalapenos but it seems it might actually be a type of pepper. Is anyone in the group familiar with this pepper from Spain? Is it just another name for a pepper that we grow here ? These world wide groups are just way too much fun..Learning about differnt names and recipes. Deanna in Colorado
