Guest guest
Hi Aisling, No, I have never read his books, but from what I have heard, he promotes a diet that is plant based. John McDougall (http://www.drmcdougall.com/) also promotes a low fat, vegan diet. Another one is " The Halleluia Diet " (http://www.hacres.com/diet/diet.asp), but this one is 85% raw, which I think is great but not too easy for people who work and have busy lives. McDougall and Halleluia are sort of commercial, trying to sell products, retreats, etc, but I believe they are positive diets with good health results. The China Study book isn't trying to sell anything, it just summarizes important scientific studies on health, nutrition and diet. You can find reasonably priced used copies at Amazon.com. I think the more extreme diets like Halleluia are good for people with serious health problems resulting from years of bad food choices.
