Guest guest Posted March 10, 2007 Report Share Posted March 10, 2007 No-Brainer Breakfast Cereal 2/3 cup rolled oats 2/3 cup millet 4 cups water 1 medium apple, chopped 1 cup chopped dates 2 ozs. chopped walnuts 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon cinnamon pinch of ginger pinch of cardamom Spritz the inside of your crockpot with a cooking spray. Then just throw everything into the pot right before you go to sleep and turn the crockpot on its lowest setting. Let simmer overnight (6 to 8 hours). The apples and dates are naturally sweet and no extra sugar is needed, but you may want to top this with a splash of low-fat milk.
