Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I've been reading the group for about a week now just getting a feel for things and collecting a few recipes. I decided it was time for me to introduce myself. My name is Natasha. I'm a graduate student in Missouri and basically I just started " real vegetarianism " about two or three weeks ago. Prior to that I only ate turkey and chicken - no red meat for 15 years. I've recently been diagnosed with about a bazillion allergies and decided that the easiest way to ensure I wasn't unintentionally eating something I'm allergic to was to cut meat out entirely since it is often processed with some of the chemicals that make me sick. I have to say I've never missed red meat and the only reason I'm at all missing turkey right now is because I don't have that many fast easy lunch options that can go on the run. I live in a household with one omnivore, one semi-vegetarian on a no-fat, low-cholesterol diet and myself. To say that meals are a challenge around here would be an understatement. The omnivore calls the nights I cook dinner " sans dinner " nights which I don't really find all that amusing, but what can I do? lol. So that's my intro. Glad to be a part of such a friendly group.
