A lot of things like comma's or misspelled words, make a huge difference in what was meant. The Teaching Company has some good things. I get their e-mails too. Great info about loads of good products. Judy - Guru K Monday, February 19, 2007 7:08 AM John the Baptist I was listening to some CDs by Bart Ehrman, a Biblical scholar. He infered that John the Baptist may have been a vegetarian. According to the Bible, he ate carob and locusts when in the desert. Dr. Ehrman said that if one letter was changed, in the original, then locusts would translate as " pancakes " . It would have been a Middle Eastern type pancake and not one with maple syrup. He said that it would have been much tastier and made a lot more sense. By the way, the CDs are very good and are by " The Teaching Company " .
