Guest guest Posted February 16, 2007 Report Share Posted February 16, 2007 Vegetarian/Vegan (My friday morning experiment) 1 can (16 oz) Vegetarian refried beans 1 pint stewed tomatoes(I used my own canned tomatoes which equal apx. 2 cups) 1 teas.garlic powder 1 teas.onion powder 1 teas.paprika **1/2 to 1 teas. green pepper sauce( I used Mc.IlhennyCo.Tabasco Jalapeno sauce) 3 slices packaged soy 'cheese'.(I used Melissa's Soy Slices) Optional : Salt and pepper to taste ** You judge the 'heat' 1/2 teas. leaves a slight 'hotness' Directions: Combine refried beans, Soy cheese, spices, and simmer until well blended and cheese melts. Add tomatoes and green pepper sauce and continue simmering for apx. 10 min.
