Hi,

I was diagnosed as borderline Type II a year or so ago. I was in the

hospital for a ruptured appendix and they were checking my blood several

times a day, and giving me insulin, also several times a day. They were

amazed that I wasn't taking insulin already.

Since I got my weight down, watched ny calorie intake and get a balanced

diet, I've been fine. (and I do get regular checkups!).

I'm in a similar boat. Recently diagnosed as type II with wildly out of

control blood sugars. Just in the last month I've moved to a vegan

plant-based diet (was an ovo lacto for 30 years) and I now exercise

twice a day. It's a dramatic lifestyle change, but my blood sugars have

dramatically decreased and the weight is coming off. No insulin for

me. :-)

-Hey how are you? I was also at my doctor two weeks ago, and the scarry

part about it was I had just had lunch prior to getting there and my

blood sugar dropped to 50
