Guest guest
Lining the cake pan and using the batter over the waxed paper works fine. If you line a cookie sheet and place the cookie raw dough, as it bakes and leaves open areas of waxed paper between the cookies it can smoke and burn after the wax melts on the paper. I had this happen and it was bad enough for me to think it caught on fire in the oven.
