Guest guest
they are pretty good at buildin nuke plants in ridiculous places case in point, san onofre down in SoCal, built almost directly ontop of a slip fault Lynda Apr 12, 2005 10:41 PM Re: oh, wots a few lost spent fuel rids? maybe they need to check underthe couch For folks not familiar with the enfamous San Francisco or '06 earthquake, one should note that San Francisco, although famous for the quake, was notthe worst hit spot. 4 hours north and exactly halfway between the bordersof Mexico and Canada on your maps, is Eureka. It suffered more damage, justdidn't have the fire. Now, what does that have to do with fuel cells you might ask. Well, thepowers that be, in their infinite wisdom, decided that a nuclear power plantshould be built right smack dab on the fault line in Eureka. The plant wasdecomissioned a few years ago because of the earthquake problems (theypublicly blamed it on something else, wouldn't want to start any hysteria, now doncha know).WELLLLLL, guess who can't find all their spent fuel cells!Lynda----- What you see is what you get You've made your bed, you better lie in it You choose your leaders and place your trust As their lies wash you down and their promises rust You'll see kidney machines replaced by rockets and guns And the public wants what the public gets But I don't get what this society wants
