Guest guest
O.K., is it a real slow news week? Seems to be a lot of booky sorts here, hence this question. DeVenci Code. Anyone read it and what's all the noise about it? Is it worth reading just to find out what the noise is all about? Lynda

Guest guest
Hi Lynda > O.K., is it a real slow news week? Seems to be a lot of booky sorts here, > hence this question. DeVenci Code. Anyone read it and what's all the > noise > about it? Is it worth reading just to find out what the noise is all > about? Have to admit to having not heard a great deal of news this week... I've been too busy!!! I've not actually read the DaVinci Code, but have looked quite a lot into some of the themes and issues behind it. I think the main thing to remember is that the book is a fictional novel, which has some basis in reality, and some in imagination. There are lots of theories concering Rennes which is, as I understand it, the centrepiece of the book. Personally, I think that the whole Rennes thing is a huge smoke-screen created to keep people interested in what's really going on side-tracked... you know - give people something shiny to look at, and they won't notice the pile of rubbish gradually building up across the room!!!
