Guest guest
I have attached my letter to Lindsay Allen, I suggest that anyone interested send her one also; her email address is: lhallen As I read your comments this morning on-line I almost had to laugh at the ridiculousness of your claims. Insinuating that a vegan diet is " unethical " is absolutely ludacris and your shallow " science " is full of holes. Adding meat to the diets of malnourished African children does not in ANY way, shape or form support the notion that a vegan diet is damaging. A vegan diet, when executed thoughtfully, is far superior to the diet of the average American and the average American child. This should be obvious just by looking at the rising rates of obesity among this nation's children and adults. A plant based diet is low in saturated fat and cholesterol and full of vitamins and minerals, though your propoganda would lead people to believe otherwise. Choosing to live a vegan lifestyle means that I refuse to be part of what I see as the problem. I say " no thank you " to consuming the products of animals who have been pumped full of hormones and antibiotics and stuffed into crates and cages far too small for them. I refuse to be part of an industry that contributes to world hunger and mass destruction of the environment. I value my health, which, coincidentally has vastly improved since the removal of animals and animal products. Shame on you for calling yourself a scientist.
