Guest guest
As you know, Prince Edward Island's Legislative Assembly's Standing Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Environment has announced its plans to hold hearings to examine the issues around a potential decision to declare PEI a GE free zone. To that end, the committee members have issued an invitation to those interested in presenting arguments for or against a PEI ban on GE foods. The Committee was to meet yesterday (Jan 19) and set the dates for the public hearing. The committee did meet yesterday but opted to delay setting the dates and decided to extend the deadline for those interested in participating in the hearings. The new deadline is now WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2005.
