Guest guest
Jo had a great post here some time ago explaining that Silk Clothes have a lot of suffering associated with them. This was a great eye opener to me and my special thanks to Jo for this great post/reminder. Silk Worms are subjected to great suffering and from their dead body, the clothes are made, called special and celebrated. This is bad Karma. What goes around comes around in terms of Karma. My Grand Aunt liked and had some silk clothes. She suffered the same way the silk worms die. By buying silk clothes she encouraged the suffering of Silk worms. A lot of small islands are facing hard times and disappearing. They mostly fish, in terms of Karma killing fish is bad. Same with Poompuhar. It was a great place. However, it was a CENTER for Silk Worm trade and fishing. No wonder it was wiped out like that. My teachers in India then SWORE by literature that there was some very bad KARMA there. A very sincere man was injustly accused and killed. His wife proved the injustice. Soon, they say the sea came and finished that place. There are statues for that couple in Poompuhar. They are called Kovalan and Kannagi. Vijay
Guest guest
I do believe in the power of Karma. I have seen it in my lifetime, very often. There were many instances in my childhood, where I or other children were being riduculed, laughed at or bullied. Now those people, either ve a mcdonalds job, are not happy, or have some other type of problem going on. I don't wish ill on anyone. That's just the way things turned out. however, some things cannot be explained, when adversity happens to good people for no apparent reason, there must be a lesson there, or maybe this tragedy can make them stronger. I don't have all the answers, who can explain life? one thing that i always think about is chance, probability. for instance, there have been many instances where, If I been at that place, at that time, I probably wouldn't be here. I lived in nyc on 9-11, I had quit working in the wall street area, just a month before, to be home with my son. I would have breakfast in the world trade center, before going to work, every morning. a coworker, left the bank that I was working from to get a better, higher paying job in the world trade center, just three months earlier, she died. My uncle and Aunt, for the last twenty years had always been loyal to American Airlines, but that morning they decided to go with continental, which was thirty dollars cheaper, that very same plane which they changed their mind to, was the one that fell in Queens, NY. in which everyone was killed. I could go on and on. - 1/17/2005 2:30:30 PM Silk Worms/Karma/Poompuhar./Grand Aunt/Jo Jo had a great post here some time ago explaining that Silk Clothes have a lot of suffering associated with them.
