Guest guest
I had a wonderful Grand Aunt in India in Karnataka. She was well educated, worked and retired as a School Principal. She never got married. She had a very pleasant, sincere and hospitable personality. She was a model Citizen who had a wonderful life. About two years or so ago, she had been to a local Temple for Hindu Prayers. At that time her Saree(Women's dress) caught fire in one of the lamps used for the prayer. Pretty soon she was ablaze. Then relatives said that witnesses saw her running around and screaming Help Me ! Help Me ! and also in pain. By the time she was helped for some unknown reason it was too late. She got third degree burns all over her body, suffered for three days or so very much in great pain and then died. I am still trying to find meaning as to why such a sincere, loving person had to die in this manner. In comparison it appears that most of the Tsunami Victims had a fast and painless death. When water of great mass hits one at a force of 400 km/h to 1000 km/h death seems to be fairly fast. As the time the Tsunami hit was fairly brief but soon after the bodies were washed ashore. I also had another Uncle who was a heavy smoker. One day, he vomitted blood all over his cot and then died. I have heard of a few people dying peacefully in their sleep. This seems to be the best way to die. Vijay
