Politics/Sales in The Meat Industry.

For promoting Vegetarianism/Veganism in a big way, some time down the road one

needs to study the Meat Industry very well. Hopefully, this thread will assist

in this regard. I live in Canada. The fur trade is a very important part of the

History here. Everyone talks about the fur trade. The Native Indians traded fur

with the Europeans. One of the biggest Companies here started of as a fur

company.

 

Meat is a great part of politics. There are some Ministers in Govt. DEDICATED to

promoting meat. This is an important livelihood for their state/province. The

more meat is sold, the more the meat industried profit, the better it is for

them. Shipping meat is big business.

 

Animal products are also used in the Cosmetics Industry to a large extent.

 

In the Restaurant Business, meat is sold as a luxury, non-veg dishes cost more

and hence more profits. All these key players will strongly oppose

Vegetarianism/Veganism and give it their best shot to promote meat. They are

professionals.

 

Meat futures are traded very popularly.
