I have a very good friend who is a Mexican Nationalist. He is veg, by the way.

He says his culture is very not open to the vegetarian diet. He says the Anglo culture is much more open and accepting of him...more than his own culture! He is regularly made fun of and called "crazy" for adopting such a diet.

It's too bad...because they know how to make beans very delicious!

I belong to an argentinian vegan group. when I first joined them, I

was SHOCKed at how much they hate americans.

I naively introduce myself as an american and they just attacked me.

It's as though, I was paying the price for everything that Monsanto,

Bush and Mcdonalds is doing to their country.

Anyway, I find them to be a lot more Radical in their veganism (they

are Anarchists, and Animal Liberation Front) than I am. But still it

is interesting to learn from them, I am mostly a lurker, but I do get

the impression that there is a large compsumtion of Cattle (steak) in

they argentinian diet.
