Guest guest
Draught(draft) beer comes in kegs... in the UK, they still sometimes us a filtering/fining agent called Isinglass in their cask beer cask beer is a traditional form of brewing, again in the UK, in which the beer is naturally carbonated. (ie, they don;t pump CO2 in it).. isinglass is dried fish bladder, and its added to the cask(keg) so that proteind and such which bind with it and drop out of solution..so you don't end up with a pint of dead yeatst cells and spent protein particles and the wotnot.. technically, the isinglass isn't in the beer..its sittin at the bottom of the cask..but... eww its pretty rare to use it here in the colonies.. fraggle Sara Dec 13, 2004 3:54 PM Re: Peak Oil Crisis Challenged.
