Guest guest
Thaks Craig - very interesting (and horrible!). I don't know much about sheep, but guess that the same problems exist for them in the UK. Jo Wool... the Reality for the Sheep FYI
Guest guest
Hiya Jo yeah it is a real issue in Australia Sheep really have no place the climate is just too hot for them or too cold like they point out at the time of sheering yet the abuse continues Peta has already launched a serious campaign against the sheep industry here and truthfully I hope it shuts down the lot but I would settle for at least much improved conditions. they talk about fly strike...well guess what the flies are a direct result of the abundance of the sheep Captain Cook did the first serious survey of Australia he and his men wrote about 1000's of different things but never once was there mention of excessive flies yet when people first go outback that is the first thing you notice the first real mention of flies was sometime in the 1820's when local sheep farmers were plagued with the flies anyway I need to look up my references to get the details correct otherwise I am just paraphrasing. the point is it is a man made problem and they deal with it by further torturing the sheep. thanks for the interest Craig ] Wool... the Reality for the Sheep FYI Thaks Craig - very interesting (and horrible!).
