Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker

I have been thinking of ordering this book from Amazon. Unfortunately

it isn't one of those books that you can " look inside " on Amazon and it

will have to be sent from the States so I can't pop out to the

bookstore to check it out before I order it. To those of you that use

this book. What do you think of it? Are there vegan-friendly recipes in

it? Could you give me an idea of some of the recipe titles?

The other book I was thinking of was the Simple Little Vegan Slow

Cooker by Michelle Rivera. Has anyone used this book? What did you

think if it?

TIA

This is a great book. There are non-vegan recipes in it,

but probably not enough to make it a waste, and many of

those would be easily converted. My favorite recipe from

the book has got to be the Sloppy Lentils:

I don't have the Simple Little Vegan Slow Cooker book,

but I do own 125 Best Vegetarian Slow Cooker Recipes.

Somehow, I've yet to make a recipe from it. (I may

have to revisit it.)

Back to the FftVSC book, I recently combined two of the

recipes in it to make a scrumptious brown rice pudding.

You can see the results of that in my recently posted

blog entry wherein I review the Lemon Teasecake recipe

in this group's files:

Thanks Erin

It was after checking out your blog entry that I started to wonder

about the Robin Robertson book.

I do have the 125 BVSC recipes and I have really enjoyed it. That is

where I got the Moors and Christians recipe which I loved. So far the

only unsuccessful meal I cooked from it was a green lentil shepherd's

pie - the potato tasted all wrong. Perhaps shepherd's pie really

needs to be baked.
