Guest guest
The Anasazi bean is considered a Native American bean and named after the ancient South Western Native American tribe called the " Ancient ones or Anasazi " . Supposedly some of these beans were found in baskets in ancient Native American archeological sites in Colorado and New Mexico. The Anasazi Bean is related to the Pinto Bean and like the Pinto makes it's own flavorful 'sauce'..It tastes great even without added spices or chilis. The Anasazi Bean is a pretty, very dark red and white color and has a slightly sweet flavor. This is a bean that I like to eat plain or in a salad so as not to lose it's unique flavor or color. Smiles and hugs coming your way Deanna in Colorado
