Guest guest
Hi there. I eat a Subway all the time because that is the best place to get a veggie sandwich quickly. I wrote to Subway in 2003 asking why the veggie patty isn't on their online menu & nutritional info: - subs <http://www.subway.com/applications/menu/frmMenuPanel.aspx?menuId=21 & cou\ ntryCode=USA & languageCode=ENG> - hot & toasted <http://www.subway.com/applications/menu/frmMenuPanel.aspx?menuId=2 & coun\ tryCode=USA & languageCode=ENG> I wanted the nutritional content. Here is how Maureen Antrobus, Director of Operations (maureenantrobus <maureenantrobus ), replied: " In answer to your question about the nutrition contents of the veggie pattie, the veggie is not part of the national menu. For that reason it is not on the nutritional guide. the stores are allowed to carry a couple of local sandwiches. The store you visit chooses to carry a veggie pattie. Since I don't know which store it is that you visit, I don't know if they are carrying the correct product. " I replied to her: " Why is it not part of the national menu? You should offer something to vegetarians more than just lettuce. " I also complained that the patty had gotten smaller. She had said if I provided her the store info, she'd look into it. I did provide that info, and never heard back from her. Nevertheless Subway is relatively healthy compared to most fast food restaurants. I like my veggie patty in a WRAP with CHIPOTLE SAUCE , veggies, and jalapenos. It's awesome that way.
